Should a person save money or pay off debt? (Last Part)

(continuation of Create a workable budget)

Supercharge your financial life by making more money

If you want to fast-forward your financial plans, make an effort to make more money. In fact, this might be an absolute necessity if, after crunching the numbers in your budget, you find that you don’t have any extra room at all.

But even if you do, the extra money that you earn will help you make your goals a reality in a lot less time. It’s amazing what having an extra few hundred pesos each month can do to supercharge your financial life.

The old standby here is getting a part-time job. And while that may work well, there’s also the possibility that it won’t fit into your schedule. No problem – there are other ways to make money without getting a second job.

One way is to tap into your individual talents. This might involve offering your services as a tutor, a virtual assistant, or a freelance writer – all of which are basically side businesses. But you can also get into more formal money making arrangements, such as driving for Grab or other TNVS.

Other options are more entrepreneurial, such as creating your own blog, or developing a portfolio of YouTube videos, either of which can be monetized with advertising revenue.

But before you get into any of that, first work on developing your budget. That will tell you exactly where you are, and what you need to do. And if you do need to earn more money, then consider the many options available to you.
